President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after trips to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia where he attended the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Tinubu was also in the Netherlands on an official visit for a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Later last month, he was in Riyadh for the WEF.

The forum, themed “Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development,” convened leaders from various sectors to discuss global development strategies.

During his time in the Netherlands, Tinubu held discussions with prominent Dutch officials, including separate meetings with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. He also participated in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum.

After the engagements, Tinubu left for an unknown European destination for an undisclosed mission that has generated some controversy.

Amid speculations about his whereabouts, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Tunji Alausa on Tuesday said Tinubu’s absence from the country is not due to medical reasons as alleged by critics.

“We have a president that is well, that is healthy, and leading the country in the right direction,” Alausa said on a Channels TV programme.
